The Veterans Furniture Center (VFC) is honored, once again, to receive a generous $35,000 donation from the Thunderbirds Charities. 100% of this donation will go toward purchasing the furniture and household goods that transitioning veterans so desperately need to start a new life and stay off the streets. We appreciate all that the Thunderbirds do for Arizona and our mission.
Thunderbirds Charities is a non-profit organization formed in 1986 to distribute monies raised through the WM Phoenix Open golf tournament. The Thunderbirds Charities Board consists of 15 board members from varying professional backgrounds. The mission of Thunderbirds Charities is to support organizations that assist children and families, help people in need and improve the quality of life in the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan Area. The organization’s giving is directed toward organizations based or with a significant presence in Arizona.
The VFC needs your financial support to continue our mission. Donations from our partners and supporters go to buy furniture and household goods for our veterans. Arizona residents are eligible to receive a tax CREDIT on their State income tax for their donation. Amounts up to $421 per individual and $841 per couple.
